At Optimised Living, we believe in being transparent and respectful when it comes to fees and payment. We understand that navigating funding options and support services can be overwhelming, so we aim to make this process as clear and supportive as possible.
All services are billed at $193.99 per hour, and each client receives a detailed invoice outlining the service provided. We charge the same hourly rate for all clients, regardless of funding type, to ensure fairness and consistency. If you ever have questions about charges or funding, you're welcome to reach out—we’re always happy to help clarify things.
Many people choose to engage in occupational therapy for support with functional, emotional, or lifestyle-related challenges, outside of any formal referral pathway. If you're paying privately, you simply pay the full session fee at the time of your appointment, and we’ll provide you with a receipt for your records. You're welcome to reach out at any time if you’d like help understanding the process or planning your sessions around your budget.
If you do have private health insurance that covers occupational therapy, you may be eligible to claim a partial rebate after your appointment. You will still pay the full fee upfront, and we’ll provide you with an itemised receipt to submit to your health fund. Because every policy is different, we recommend contacting your fund directly to confirm your level of OT cover before getting started.
Optimised Living accepts referrals under Medicare's Chronic Disease Management Plan, as well as Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) referrals with the appropriate paperwork from your GP.
Please note: CDMP sessions are not bulk billed. A gap fee applies, as Medicare covers only a portion of the session cost. We understand this may be a consideration for some clients, and we are happy to talk through options or help you understand how it might fit into your broader care plan.
Optimised Living provides occupational therapy services to individuals with Self-managed or Plan-managed NDIS funding. While we are not a registered NDIS provider and therefore unable to work with participants with NDIA-managed plans, we are experienced in working within the NDIS system and can collaborate with your Support Coordinator or Plan Manager if needed.
Our focus is on making sure you receive supports that are not only aligned with your goals, but also respectful of your time, needs, and funding.
